Nordgard Aukrust is located deep in the mountains of Oppland. The farm is run by Franziska and Ola Aukrust, their five kids and a group of employees and interns. The farm is situated in Lom, and their area in “Bøverdalen” has the driest climate in northern Europe, and is well suited for growing flowers and herbs.
The name Aukrust comes from Olav Aukrust (1883-1929), in his time a respected poet writing in New Norwegian. He was also a member of the antroposofic society, and so the farm has deep historical roots.
